Thanks to its universal fit, it fits over 450 model-specific Hepco & Becker tank rings and always retains its shape thanks to high-density EVA foams and tear-resistant 840D ballistic polyester. Your valuable belongings are kept safe with the lockable zippers, while the robust carrying handle makes carrying effortless. The water-repellent outer material protects your belongings in the event of unexpected rain. The Epic 3 tank bag is not only functional, but also well thought-out. Inside the lid you will find additional compartments with mesh pockets to keep small items organized. The small reflective details on the backpack improve your visibility in traffic, which significantly increases your safety when riding at night or in poor visibility conditions. The highlight of the Epic 3 is the integrated waterproof inner lining. This protects your equipment from moisture and rain, even in the most adverse conditions. This functional tank ring allows you to attach a Hepco & Becker tank bag. The package includes a BASIC tank ring and a counterbracket, which can be screwed onto the tank bag individually depending on the shape of the tank and the handlebar angle. You can still open the fuel cap without any problems even with the tank ring installed. Basically, all you need is this tank ring and a tank bag for the Honda XL 750 Transalp / E-Clutch (25-) and you’ll have everything you need. Details: Absolutely secure hold, even at high speeds Easy to use thanks to a mechanical locking mechanism The Hepco & Becker tank bag simply snaps into place and locks audibly onto the tank ring Unlocking: The mechanism is unlocked using a strap located at the front of the tank bag in the direction of travel, after which the tank bag can be easily removed In Germany, tank bag systems do not require an ABE (general type approval) or registration in the vehicle documents. Recommended maximum speed with the tank bag mounted: 130 km/h Recommended load capacity for the tank bag: approx. 3 kg Please follow the motorcycle manufacturer’s specifications, as well as the model-specific instructions in the manual or listed here with the product Difference between Lock-it and BASIC tank rings: The general function and operation remain the same. However, unlike the Lock-it tank ring, the BASIC tank ring locks only mechanically. With the Lock-it tank ring, the magnets assist with centering. The difference, therefore, lies solely in the two magnetic or plastic domes that are screwed onto the tank ring. The actual model-specific “metal ring” is the same for both versions. Additional notes: A tank bag with a Lock-it counterholder cannot be mounted on a BASIC tank ring, and vice versa. The tank bag counterholder and the tank ring must be from the same system.
