The 3P side mounting system was developed specifically for the SH23, SH35 and SH36 side cases. During the development phase, the focus was on safety above all else, alongside aesthetic considerations.
- Integrated design: The 3P mounting system adapts perfectly to the contours of the vehicle. The typical right-angled frame has been reduced to a single arm that supports the three points (3P) required to secure the panniers.
- Position: Both the volume of the pannier and the angle of the 3P system have been designed to shift the weight of the luggage as close as possible to the centre of the motorbike. This ensures greater safety and stability when riding with a full load.
- Aerodynamics: The use of three mounting points provides both stability and flexibility. This is achieved through a slight oscillation of the pannier. This allows air to circulate freely around the pannier, thereby avoiding the so-called ‘angle effect’ typical of a flat, rigid pannier. Here too, this results in improved safety and stability whilst riding.
- Patent pending: The uniqueness and technical innovation of the 3P system have enabled SHAD to patent it. This makes SHAD the sole manufacturer able to offer this mounting system.
