All cylinders are developed entirely in Italy by Athena's research and development department, which has strong in-house expertise and state-of-the-art tools for the development and testing of each individual part. They are coated with Motor-Nicksil, a nickel-silicon coating developed by Athena that ensures smoothness and optimum wear resistance.

The Standard Bore cylinder kit developed by Athena guarantees the same performance as the original spare parts, extreme reliability and optimum smoothness thanks to the lightweight aluminum cylinder, the barrel with nickel-silicon coating and a piston that further reduces friction.

The kit includes the high-quality aluminum cylinder with standard bore, the complete piston with piston pin and rings as well as all necessary seals.

All components of the kit have been developed to withstand the highest temperatures, pressures and loads and have been validated by Athena technicians in rigorous bench and road tests.

This cylinder kit can be installed without any modifications to the engine crankcase.
