Some say that size doesn't matter. But with locks it does matter! The Oxford BEAST is so big that there is a warning on the packaging: ATTENTION - HEAVY! The lock alone weighs 3.6 kg, the chain 12 kg to 15.5 kg!

If you have a lock that is a beast, you also need a chain that is a beast. The Beast chain wouldn't look out of place on a ship's anchor either. It's our biggest and strongest chain ever. The 22 mm thick hardened steel chain links each weigh as much as a bag of sugar. The links are encased in a protective sheath of material to prevent damage to the paintwork.

The Beast lock, chain and anchor have been awarded the Sold Secure DIAMOND rating, ensuring they can withstand fierce and sustained attacks. Being awarded a DIAMOND is no easy task. The Beast has passed attack tests with a variety of tools commonly used by thieves, including pliers, bolt cutters, drills and, most impressively, a 90-second attack with an angle grinder.

The international security standards organization ART has awarded The Beast a 5-star rating. ART assigns a rating from 1 to 5 (5 being the highest) based on a variety of tests conducted by both machines (tensile strength, torsional strength, cutting, corrosion, dust and freeze tests) and test engineers (brute force and intelligent attack tests).
