Proudly the motorcycle license A2 in hands, the dream bike seen at the dealer - this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the series performance for the graduated license is too high. Is the dream over? With the alpha Technik throttle kits, motorcycles of all power classes become more interesting for the motorcyclist, because almost any desired model can be brought to the required power of 25 kW or 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving license class. The power-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and twice the output power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors have to be taken into account: on the one hand, the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise and power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimum drivability and homogeneous power delivery, which should remain as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements have been met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent to the sometimes inconspicuous throttle orifices and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW throttle kits:
Before the new driving license ordinance, which came into force in the spring of 2013, new drivers had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW throttle kits today due to the large product range, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving license. All 25 kW throttles work mechanically, no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power reduction is done via the installation of specially designed throttle shrouds in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
