While the performance and size of lead-acid batteries have changed over the years, but not the actual principle for generating electricity, SHIDO lithium-ion batteries have given rise to a completely new mode of operation for generating electricity.

Here, power is supplied by so-called LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) cells, which are based on lithium and carbon and thus contain no lead or acid.

Shido lithium batteries have 4 cells LiFePO4 with 3.2 volts which are connected in series to achieve an OCV of 12.8 volts. This is a perfect voltage for motorcycle starter batteries. The electronic battery management system (BMS) distributes charge and discharge evenly across the four cells. Due to its low internal resistance, a Shido lithium battery can produce a very high starting current with a low Ah. This output power ensures a powerful and fast start of the vehicle.
