Electronic throttling to 35 kW for Euro 5 motorcycles:
The throttle kits from alpha Technik make motorcycles of all performance classes more interesting for motorcyclists, as almost any desired model can be brought up to the required power of 35 kW. However, special conditions apply for holders of the current A2 driving license category. The power-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and twice the power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of the power reduction. Key factors have to be taken into account: on the one hand, there are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise and performance measurements in accordance with the latest EC directive. On the other hand, there is the need to maintain optimum drivability and homogeneous power delivery as far as possible.

From the very beginning, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power modifications for the new Euro 5 vehicles in accordance with the currently valid directives. The latest version makes throttling for vehicles with "ride by wire" even easier, faster and more convenient. These vehicles can now be safely reduced to 35 kW without the additional throttle orifices (*) previously used. The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of fuel and air at all times.

The redundancy required by law is of course met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
The workshop time for installing the throttle is significantly reduced, installation is faster and very easy to carry out.
A major advantage of the MCR throttle for bikers remains the complete use of the angle of rotation on the throttle grip - every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 5 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle valves, the additional throttle orifices remain an indispensable component for correct mixture composition - this prevents leaning when the fuel supply is reduced but the throttle valves are fully open.
