The BMC Motorcycle Race air filter differs from the normal BMC sports air filter by an even higher air flow rate (up to 60%) without negatively affecting the filter effect. It can be recognized by a yellow stripe on the filter surface. It is recommended to use the BMC Race Air Filter only for motor sports. The Race filter must be cleaned more frequently and most motorcycles require a new adjustment of the mixture preparation. This is done either by an additional control unit such as the Powercommander, a new mapping or a larger jetting of the carburetor.
These BMC Race air filters are oiled at the factory and are supplied ready for installation.
